The movie started with the tribe of the so called “Bushman.” They live in the Kalahari Desert and they were detached from everything. Since they are far from civilization, they were not sophisticated instead they found ways to stay alive in the desert. Among their tribe, there was no sense of proprietorship and time. Also there was no crime, neither good nor evil. They believe that everything that falls from the sky is a gift from a god and that those things that were given to them have a reason. The movie reminds us that like the Bushman we must learn to be contented with what we have yet we should not detach ourselves and we should not be afraid of change. Now that almost all of us are already educated, some of us already forget of our traditions and created a world of being money-oriented. We believe that having a lot of money means power and fame. It’s like our happiness depends on the material things we have and not on the value of family anymore. Also, the movie conveys to us that we must learn to respect one another because each of us has our own personality. We have our own practices, beliefs and traditions and that we should not forget that family is more important than anything around us.
