So last week I watched “The Fault in our Stars.” I liked the movie because I didn’t get disappointed since I haven’t read the book but my friend said that there were many missing scenes. For me, the story was about fighting and being strong despite having such illness. It’s hard to smile especially when you know that your death is inevitable. It was a sad story and it may surely make you cry if you're easily affected with sad movies. It also talks about cancer and I’m proud of myself that I wasn't affected at all. One thing I realized after watching the movie is that no matter how much we try to escape death we just can’t because death is inescapable. All we can do is to accept the fact that each of us has our own destined time in this world. We can’t stay here forever. What we can do to make our life memorable is to live it to the fullest and enjoy the little things because these little things will soon grow to be big and significant in our life. There were a few phrases that struck me. First is that, “Pain demands to be felt.” We have to experience pain for us to be strong and independent. We have to remember that people come and go and that we can’t hold on to them forever. If ever they will leave us we have to let go because that’s the only thing we can do, sadly. The next phrase is “ The world is not a wish-granting factory.” We can't always have what we want. We have to strive hard to get it. And lastly, “Maybe okay will be our always.” If you look at it at a different angle it speaks about that we tend to say that we're okay when we're not and that we just simply say okay because we don’t want to be pitied by anyone. It’s like saying okay is your mask when you're sad.
